The start of the 2013-14 NFL season was delayed on Thursday night thanks to some poor weather coming through Denver. The defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens and Denver Broncos were set to kick off the season at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, but lightning sparked a delay that let us all waiting for kick off.

Damn you, Baltimore Orioles.

Let’s take this time to remember that the game should have been held in Baltimore, but the Orioles refused to change their game time so the game was shifted to Mile High.

Now, we must wait for kick off — and Carrie Underwood’s new intro on NBC — while the rain settles through.

Unfortunately, it looks like the storm front will continue to pour through.

Whenever the game finally restarts, we can enjoy football’s return and see what AFC giant will get off on the right foot. Until then, we are forced to watch more of Al Michaels and Chris Collinsworth as they discuss the same topics that have been discussed for the past few weeks.
