Boy, that Tracy McGrady sure has become quite the talker since he hung up the sneakers, eh?

McGrady, who recently praised Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant for being the most talented player in the league now says if he had been on the Lakers instead of Bryant during their glory years, he would have gotten along with Shaquille O’Neal just fine.

Per Pro Basketball Talk:

"“We would have had a great run,” he said when asked about Shaq. “I don’t know how many but, I know it would have never ended like it did with he and Kobe. I have a great relationship with Shaq. We would have never clashed heads like that. Two Alpha dogs going at there will always be (something going on).”"

At first, T-Mac suggests that he would have been able to get along fine with Shaq, then just moments later suggests there will always be ‘something’ going on between two Alpha dogs. I’m going to assume McGrady, who averaged 30 points at one time, would have considered himself an Alpha dog so I’m not sure I see where he’s going, unless he believes their ‘great’ relationship would have prevented all of that.
