Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez appeared in court to day to be arraigned on charges he murdered Odin Lloyd. The 27-year-old semi-pro football player, Lloyd, was dating the sister of Hernandez’s fiancee.  Aaron Hernandez has been maintaining his innocence despite mounting evidence that suggests the opposite.

So not surprisingly, Aaron Hernandez pleaded not guilty.

Hernandez was formally indicted for the charges last month when he was tagged with multiple charges including 1st degree murder, carrying a firearm, possession of a firearm, possession of a high-capacity firearm or feeding device, and 2 counts of possession of ammunition.

Recently, Aaron Hernandez was tied to the double homicide in July of 2012.  According to the Hartford Courant, police have obtained a video that shows Hernandez at a Boston club at the same time as the two men were shot and killed in their car hours later.
