The Buffalo Bills dodged having to start undrafted rookie Jeff Tuel in the season opener and instead will start first round draft pick E.J. Manuel. The Bills aren’t limiting the plays for Manuel either instead opening up the entire playbook for the quarterback. Bills’ head coach Doug Marrone ran an up-tempo offense at Syracuse and that means Manuel must be healthy to have the entire playbook available.
Manuel injured his knee in preseason and that had him in doubt for the season opener but he has been practicing and preparing for the opener this week.

Marrone and Manuel will have something in common, it will be the first NFL game for both of them. Before you go wild in the comments, the first game for Marrone as a head coach.
