Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green Will Wear Custom Cleats This Sunday (Photo)

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green will be wearing a pair of sick custom cleats this Sunday. They were airbrushed to look like a Bengal Tiger and are an absolute work of art.

Sneaker Files writes:

Nike Alpha Pro 3/4 cleat as it base – perfect for a blazing quick and fierce player like Green.

The custom cleats – personally requested by the All-Pro Green – feature a multi-colored design, done up in the Bengals’ team colors. Taking it a step further, the uppers are emblazoned with the characteristics of the animal the team is named for, with a tiger’s eye looking out on the right shoe. Bengal stripes give the shoes an animalistic appearance, while Green’s name is etched on the heels of the cleats, making no mistake as to who these pieces of art belong to.

I have to admit I think they’re pretty cool. I’d almost not want to wear them in a game because they look so beautiful. Surely he’ll be the envy of his teammates when they take the field Sunday. I’m sure customizer Dez Customz will be getting a few more orders from Bengals players. Maybe from some fans as well.

It is a pretty clever way to express some individuality in a league with strict uniform restrictions.

Hat tip to Larry Brown Sports for the find.
