A Gronk Smash could be coming to an endzone near you sooner rather than later. After initially being projected to miss the first month and a half of the season, the New England Patriots spike-loving tight end Rob Gronkowski appears that he could make an appearance back in the line up for Week 2.

For the fifth-straight day, Gronkowski suited up for practice and he has been showing positive signs.

Gronkowski will not play, but there is some believe that Week 2 of the regular season”remains in play” for his return, according to the Boston Herald.

This could be great news for fantasy football owners that added Zach Sudfeld due to Gronkowski’s injury. Don’t let the fact that he won’t be the starting tight end fool you and make you believe that his playing time will go down. It won’t. He will simply get his reps in two-tight end sets.

In fact, he could be better suited for the complimentary role a la Aaron Hernandez, rather than being the No. 1. guy.
