The Tennessee Titans want to help re-establish the “thunder and lightning” running game with Chris Johnson and Shonn Green. After having a lot of success using that style with Johnson and Lendale White, the Titans were able to make back-to-back playoff appearances, but as they’ve shied away from that style, they’ve missed the playoffs every year since 2009.

They enter the 2013 season hoping to use that style of football in order to also take some of the pressure of quarterback Jake Locker, who they want to be their franchise QB. But in order to do so, they’ll need a capable fullback, and they may not have one on the roster right now. Quinn Johnson was projected to be the starter, but he’s injured, and the team is already looking at other options.
