During a conference call earlier this week NFL analyst and former player Randy Moss criticized two of his former teammates. Basically he said that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and tight end Vernon Davis are lacking chemistry and rapport.

“From my time there last year, it didn’t seem Kaepernick and Vernon Davis had a rapport. They haven’t shown that yet,” Moss said according to the San Jose Mercury News.

Vernon Davis needless to say didn’t agree and fired back at Moss.

“I feel me and Colin are on a different level than where we were last year,” Davis said, per the Mercury News. “You have to think about it: When a quarterback just steps in, it takes time to learn his receivers.”

“I don’t think you can base everything on what happened last year, because a lot can change in six months,” Davis said. “Colin is a different man. Some of the things I learned this training camp, I didn’t learn last training camp.”

This offseason Davis has spent a lot of time working with the wide receivers, that could be one of the things that helped changed the relationship between the two.

“Last year, I didn’t really work with the wide receivers as much,” said Davis, who’s entering his eighth season. “I had a chance to really detail my routes and get an opportunity to learn what they were doing. That helped me out tremendously.”
