Although it was reported that the New England Patriots plan to use wide receiver Aaron Dobson is a rotation yesterday, it likely won’t be happening tomorrow when the Patriots play their season opener.

Dobson, who has been hobbled in recent days, will be placed on the inactives list for Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills, this according to ESPN Boston.

"WR Aaron Dobson — Rookie was limited in practice with a hamstring injury and currently projects to a reserve role (and doesn’t contribute on special teams)."

It was a bit shocking to some that the Patriots planned to use Dobson in a rotation, though, New England is looking for wide receiver help anyplace they can get it.

With Dobson likely being out, Julian Edelman and Josh Boyce will take over his duties while Danny Amendola and Kenbrell Thompkins draw the start.

It’s not as if Dobson was to see more than just a few looks his way anyway (barring something unseen), but the extra targets should help the crowded receiving core be a bit more productive for your fantasy team in Week 1. Then again, if you’re starting Edelman or Boyce and you’re not in a 16 team league, well, I wouldn’t want to see your roster.
