Rookie quarterback E.J Manuel is looking nothing like a rookie in his match up with veteran Tom Brady. Watching this game and you would not be able to tell that there was a rookie running the Bills offense. Manuel has caught fire and has had some help from the surprising Bills defense, which has caused even the great Brady to turn the ball over, along with a Ridley fumble and the Bills find then selves in the lead in this game in the third quarter 20 to 17.

But the story has to be EJ Manuel showing why the Bills picked him so high in this year’s draft. Manuel after a slow start has come on to complete 12 of 17 for 106 yards and 2 touchdowns and the best stat of all, no turnovers by the poised rookie.

Playing with a major chip on his shoulder Manuel gets really hyped up after every big play and on his last touchdown pass to wide receiver Steve Johnson for 18 yards, Manuel went running to the sideline screaming and pumping his fist and shouting at the crowd, as if to say “this is why they picked me first of all the quarterbacks” and if he said those words he was right.

Let’s see how the rookie finishes this game, they cannot forget that on the other side is the all pro super star Tom Brady who makes his living in the fourth quarter and snatching wins from teams who believed they were in position to upset the mighty Patriots.

The rookie does look good but he will need the defense to pull of a miracle and he has to remain poised and don’t let the big moment be overwhelming.
