The Jacksonville Jaguars host the Kansas City Chiefs to kick off the 2013-14 NFL season and it looks like they will have their starting quarterback on the field for the game. Blaine Gabbert comes in to the game listed questionable on the team’s injury report, but ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that he will be suiting up and playing in the team’s season-opener.

While the Jaguars prefer having Gabbert on the field over back up Chad Henne, the Chiefs likely aren’t sitting around and shaking in their boots over the news that Gabbert will be the No. 1.

New Chiefs head coach Andy Reid had previously said the team would be preparing for the game for either quarterback, so they are prepared for what the Jaguars have in store as they start their new season with hopes of digging themselves out of the NFL cellar.

It is great to have football back and meaningful games dominating our televisions on a Sunday afternoon, so sit back and enjoy all of the action.
