There is little question that Ndamukong Suh is one of the most talented defenders in the NFL, but the Detroit Lions star defensive tackle is undoubtedly a dirty player that has consistently shown a willingness to break the rules and have no care in the world or respect for his opponents.

That attitude was on display again on Sunday afternoon when Suh peeled back on an interception return and took a blatant cheap shot at the knee of Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman John Sullivan.

There was no reason to go low on the return, but Suh lived up to his nature and took out the knees of his opponent.

Here is a GIF of Suh’s cheap shot that has Twitter up in arms, via CJ Fogler on Twitter:

There is no place for that kind of shot in the game.

Let’s hope that the NFL comes down on Suh with a hefty fine. In this case, a suspension would also be reasonable. Suh needs to be taught a lesson.

Sorry but that wasn’t a cheap shot. He made a block that would have been legal last year. There was a rule change this year that makes even blocks from the side illegal. If you can’t make a block like that in this game we should just start playing flag football.

Oh I thought they changed that rule for a reason ??.. #itsCheap!!!… Hopefully people feel the same when Suh gets his knee blown out by shady play…. Once again this was away from the play. On a OL.. like he was really gonna catch the ball runner … That’s what makes it cheap

Meh. Watch this on a big screen, instead of this tiny gif, and it is obvious that Suh didn’t hit Sullivan’s knees. Last season this was a legal block. Expect to see more flags for this new rule as the season progresses, but you can bet Suh will be the only one fined, or roasted by haters in the media.
