The Oakland Raiders don’t want you to expect perfection from quarterback Terrelle Pryor. The young quarterback is still learning and adjusting to the nFL game and remains a work in progress.

“There’s still a growing process that he has to go through,” Allen said. “We’ve had to take some lumps, I guess, would be the term. Overall, I’ve been pleased with the progression of Terrelle Pryor.”

All that matters to Allen is that Pryor progresses and gets better every week. The normal bumps in the road are to be expected with a young quarterback.

“When you have young guys out there, they’ve got to grow,” Allen said, via CSN Bay Area. That’s where we’re at. I’m looking for continued growth out of him as we continue to go throughout the season.”

“When Terrelle is out on the field,” Allen said, “we’ll have some things that hopefully he can do really well.”

Considering how weak the offensive line is some lowered expectations for the quarterback might make sense. It is also a reason the Raiders like Pryor in this situation, his mobility can help mask that weakness to a certain degree. Allen also maintained that the coaches will try to put Pryor in a position to succeed.
