The New York Giants entered halftime trailing their NFC East rivals, the Dallas Cowboys, and they will came in to the second half down a member of their secondary. After taking a helmet-to-helmet hit from his teammate Ryan Mundy, the Giants have announced that Amukamara has suffered a concussion and he will not return.

Mundy was also evaluated after the collision for a possible concussion, but he was able to return.

Also injured in the first half of the game was Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, who took a big hit from three Giants defenders. It initially looked like a potentially serious rib injury, but the Cowboys have said that Romo just got the wind knocked out of him and he returned for the first drive to start the second-half.

It’s been a sloppy game full of turnovers in the first half and that has been the way the second half started as well. Giants running back David Wilson fumbled the ball on the team’s first drive and Dallas returned it for a touchdown.

The new and improved Cowboys defense is looking good under new defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin and they will look to keep the momentum rolling.
