There was a scary moment for Dallas Cowboys fans at the end of the first half when Tony Romo was sandwiched between two New York Giants defenders and landed on his non-throwing shoulder. New York Giants defensive linemen Mathias Kiwanuka and Justin Trattou were the two players who sandwiched Romo on the play. Romo laid on the ground for a moment barely moving in a scary moment. Trainers helped Tony Romo get to the side line.

Romo just signed a six-year $108 million dollar deal and it would be a huge blow to lose him in the season opener.

Romo made it to the sideline and was seen sitting on the bench and not talking to trainers. That suggests he either had the wind knocked out of him or he suffered some kind of rib injury. Romo suffered a rib injury early in the season a while back against the San Francisco 49ers. Romo came back and led the team to a victory.

Kyle Orton was seen warming up but wasn’t needed, Tony Romo has been back on the field for the Dallas Cowboys in the second half.
