Dallas Cowboys fans are all breathing a sigh of relief as X-rays came back negative for quarterback Tony Romo and wide receiver Dez Bryant, their top two offensive stars. Bryant reportedly was diagnosed with a sprained foot earlier today following the X-ray results came back negative.

Apparently that isn’t the end of this injury story. Dez Bryant is going to get an MRI done on his foot.
Dez Bryant is going to get an MRI on his sprained left foot. He's in flip flops, not a walking boot. "It hurts a little," he said.

That is interesting and must indicate that what Bryant is saying about the pain doesn’t match up with a sprain. An MRI could reveal a mid-foot or possibly even a Lisfranc issue. There isn’t any real cause for concern until the MRI results expose something, but there should be cautious optimism.
Watching Tony Romo go down worried Dez Bryant as well as fans and his words about Romo could express how Cowboys fans feel about his injury.
“My heart dropped,” Bryant said. “My heart dropped, just because all the hard work we done put in this whole summer, it makes you nervous.”
