According to Rotoworld the Pittsburgh Steelers “placed C Maurkice Pouncey on injured reseve with a torn right ACL and MCL, ending his season.” That has prompted the Steelers to sign former Tennessee Titans center Fernando Velasco after he was released during the final roster cuts last weekend.
The Steelers will either start Velasco or Kelvin Beachum at center. Beachum most likely will get the nod as Velasco tries to catch up to the Steelers offense.
We have placed LB @LarryFoote313 , C @MaurkicePouncey and RB LaRod Stephens-Howling on the Reserve/Injured List

The silver lining is that there is plenty of time to heal and recover ahead of the 2014 season. That isn’t much of a silver lining for a player wanting to play now. It also is a hit to the Steelers interior of the offensive line. After he went down Kelvin Beachum finished out the game at center.
Tomlin said he assumes the injuries to Pouncey and Foote would be season-ending, but that's just an assumption at this point
