Reggie Bush had a great regular season debut with the Detroit Lions on Sunday afternoon when the team hosted the Minnesota Vikings in their 2013-14 season-opener. Since joining the Lions, many touted Bush as a perfect fit for the team’s offense and he showed exactly why that was the belief with an all-around performance.

Bush carried the ball 21 times for 90 yards, but he added another four receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown.

It was a flash of the Reggie Bush we have expected to see since his glory days at USC and the performance paid off big time for fantasy football owners — if you didn’t have him stashed away on the bench.

In standard scoring ESPN leagues, Bush was able to rack up 25 points and lift plenty of teams to victory.

Bush is owned in 100 percent of ESPN Fantasy Football leagues, but only 86.9 percent of players had enough faith in him to place him in the starting line up. For those who rode with the former No. 2 overall pick, they can sit back and enjoy the sweet taste of victory — unless the rest of your team didn’t hold their weight.
