The Tennessee Titans have an elite running back in former 2,000 yard rusher Chris Johnson. That didn’t stop them from adding New York Jets running back Shonn Greene to the roster. In the season opener Shonn Greene carried the ball only four times before being injured and leaving the game after suffering a knee injury in the second quarter.

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Munchak said the injury isn’t serious and hopes that Greene can play in the week 2 match up against the Houston Texans.

The Titans ran the ball well though.

“We’ll have some that go for no gain and we’ll pop a couple 7 yarders,” left guard Andy Levitre said. “I think we did a good job later in the game effectively moving the ball. And that’s something we’ve talked about since we got here in the spring, being able to run the ball and then throw it when we feel like throwing it.”

“They were able to run the ball at times on us, particularly in that red area,” Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said. “Just not acceptable.”
