New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola was key in the team’s victory over the Buffalo Bills in the 2013 season-opener, but he is starting off Week Two with a sign that is bad news for his status for Thursday night’s game.

According to the Boston Herald, Amendola was absent from the team’s walkthrough on Tuesday.

Amendola suffered a pulled groin in the Week One match up and it looks like he could be a gametime decision for this week’s game against the AFC East rival New York Jets.

For fantasy football owners, Amendola’s absence to start the week is a trouble sign that will cause some uncertainty when setting the line up, so proceed with caution if you are thinking about giving Amendola the start.

Without Amendola, we could see the bigger role for undrafted rookie Kenbrell Thompkins who was heralded as a breakout candidate throughout the preseason.

We will continue to update you on Amendola’s injury as the week rolls on.
