Forbes magazine always puts out a list of the most valuable professional sport franchises across the globe, however, it’s relatively basic. Wanting to improve off of that, the good folks at Column Five have created an info graphic which displays the fifty most valuable sports teams in the world.

So who comes out on top? Pretty much anybody who’s had a storied history, complete with championships, of course.

We’ll start in the NFL where the Dallas Cowboys top the list (they also crack the top five overall). Many NFL teams have similar value, so it’s a bit difficult to depreciate, though the Washington Redskins and New York Giants ranked quite high.

As for Major League Baseball, the New York Yankees (obvious) have a commanding lead in just about every category. The Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants all play a distant second fiddle, with only the Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets cracking the top fifty list.

In the NBA, only three teams could claim to be one of the fifty most valuable teams in the world, the New York Knicks topping the list, with the Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls a distant second and third in the NBA.

Only one NHL team made the list, the Toronto Maple Leafs, likely due to MSP&E being so valuable.

The only American team to give the top valuable franchises a run (which were all soccer) would be the Yankees.
