After earning a 21-7 lead, the Texans were able to charge back and edge the Chargers on a last second Randy Bullock 41-yard field goal to secure the 31-28 victory.

It was a pick-six from Brian Cushing that tied the game with just over nine minutes to play before Matt Schaub and company drove down the field later in the quarter to knock off the Chargers.

For Matt Schaub, a tipped pass that led to an interception to start the game, but he was able to regather his senses and come back with a strong 346 yards and three TD performance. San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers threw for an impressive four touchdowns, but he totaled just 198 yards and the crucial interception in the final quarter.

Houston will look to use the 24 straight points they scored to end the game as momentum for their Week 2 match up against the Tennessee Titans. Meanwhile, San Diego will travel to Philadelphia to take on the up-tempo attack of the Eagles.
