A few days ago, the New England Patriots said they were ‘uncertain’ about Danny Amendola‘s availability past tonight’s game against the New York Jets.

Now according to ESPN Boston, there is a good chance the Patriots wide receiver may not be ready until at least Week Four against the Atlanta Falcons.

Per ESPN:

"WR Danny Amendola — Wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see him before the Sept. 29 game at Atlanta."

Amendola, despite his desire to play through pain, has a bit of an injury history and isn’t exactly known for his speedy recoveries, though, at this point it’s still more speculation than fact in regards to his return date. However, considering the source, Mike Reiss, you have to take it with some serious merit.

Julian Edelman will fill in for Amendola, who should have a large amount of success as he’s one of the few (only?!) receivers on the field that quarterback Tom Brady can really trust at this point.
