So word on the street is that the Utah Jazz will eventually trade Brandon Rush to the Chicago Bulls. I can buy that. The Bulls don’t have much scoring punch on the team outside Derrick Rose. This team rose to awesome heights last season without their MVP due to their great defense.

Rush is a good defender in his own right. He is also a very good shooter at 41% for his career at 3 point range.

Now, Rush is coming back from tearing his ACL last season. And so, we don’t know where he is exactly in his game. So, is he worth the risk? I’d say so. He’s in his final year of his contract and it’s only at $4 million. It’s a low risk, high reward thing. If Rush plays well with the Jazz or the Bulls, he’s up for a decent raise.

Jimmy Butler has become a star for the Bulls, and Luol Deng has been involved in many rumors as a guy the Bulls would be willing to trade. Now, I can’t say he’d fit with the Jazz because they seem to be in tank mode. The key here is that the Bulls need a starting SG and Rush fits into playing defense and scoring that the Bulls need.

Could there be a three-way trade? Somebody takes Deng while the Bulls take Rush and then somebody goes to the Jazz. That could happen too. We’ll see.

Sportige has the story.
