It’s been a terrible day for running backs and it’s about to get worse.

After Green Bay Packers starting running back Eddie Lacy was removed from the game after a concussion, Atlanta Falcons running back Stephen Jackson left with a hip injury. Now it’s Ray Rice‘s turn as he went down, completely untouched, during their game against the Cleveland Browns today.

Thankfully Rice was able to walk off the field (more like limp) under his own power after staying on the ground for a few minutes, though, there is obvious concern since Rice went down without being touched.

Rich was attempting to cut through a hole in the offensive line and soon as he planted, he, immediately fell to the ground and grabbed for his left hip area. He has made his way to the Ravens locker room as we await further word on the significance of his injury.

Bernard Pierce, who already has a touchdown in today’s game will take over for Rice. His return status is unknown, though, one could assume his day would be done considering the uncertainty of his injury.
