Pittsburgh Steelers running back Isaac Redman was shaken up on the opening kickoff of Monday Night Football against the AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals and he was being evaluated for a concussion on the sidelines after taking a blow to the head.

After Redman was evaluated on the sidelines by the medical staff, he was cleared to return and re-entered the game for the Steelers.

When Redman was out of action, Felix Jones and Jonathan Dwyer were splitting carries in the backfield.

To start the game, Jones got three straight carries which had little success and the team was forced to punt following a three-and-out. The running game has yet to get going this season, but they will hope Redman can provide some sort of spark for the team as the season goes on.

When Redman was cleared for a return, the Steelers were trailing the Bengals 10-3 with twelve minutes remaining in the first half.

The team’s offense has been sputtering.
