Brandon Lloyd starring in a zombie movie, why he turned down 6 NFL teams?
By Mike Dyce
Wide receiver Brandon Lloyd seems to be done with football. He has had at least six teams call him and inquire about his services including the New England Patriots and he has turned them all down.
From Pro Football Talk:
"The Patriots, Jets, and 49ers are among at least six teams that have approached Lloyd about playing in 2013. Per a source with knowledge of the discussions, Lloyd consistently has rejected all overtures."
The teams that have called him afford him big dollar salaries or championship potential. It’s not like hes holding out for one or the other. It could be because Lloyd is focusing on a new career, starring in Hollywood movies.
From MassLive.com:
"Lloyd stars in an upcoming zombie movie with Daniel Baldwin called “After Effect” that is scheduled to be released, direct-to-DVD, on Oct. 8. Lloyd is cast in the film as Sargent Chuck Lloyd.According to IMDB, the movie is about a group of college students who sign up for a research study, only later to find out that they’ve unknowingly volunteered their bodies for an ongoing military experiment."
There even is a clip of Brandon Lloyd from the film on YouTube:
Trying for a Super Bowl ring with the Patriots or 49ers or straight to DVD films for Walmart?
You only have so much time to pursue one and the rest of your life for the other.
