Steelers to ramp up Le’veon Bell’s activities this week

Aug 29, 2013; Charlotte, NC, USA; Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been without Le’Veon Bell this whole season. Bell is trying to recover from a foot injury suffered during the preseason. Earlier Tuesday head coach Mike Tomlin said that injured tight end Heath Miller will return to a full practice this weekend but was less optimistic about Bell.

Bell’s mid-foot sprain is classified as a Lisfranc injury.

Le’Veon Bell isn’t a cure all for the Steelers run game though.

Competition could be rough for Bell when he returns, Felix Jones played relatively well on Monday Night Football. He carried the ball 10 times for 37 yards.
