Martellus Bennett will more than likely play against the Pittsburgh Steelers
By David Miniel
Well after hearing some concerning news regarding wide receiver Brandon Marshall who left practice today due to a tight back, we got some fairly good news about tight end Martellus Bennett.
Bennett who has become a primary target for Cutler besides Marshall, is going to be a big piece of their offense this season. So far he’s tied for second place on the leagues stat sheet with three receiving touchdowns going into Week 3.
If Marshall is unable to go on Sunday (which I’m positive he’ll be fine), he should pick up a good chunk of the offensive yards and a couple scores against Pittsburgh. It’s another tough match up for the Bears even though the Steelers are 0-2 on the season.
All it takes is one game for a team to turn things around, so they’re looking to upset the 2-0 Chicago Bears on Sunday. But with Bennett healthy and ready to go and the protection up front for Cutler, the Bears should have this game in the bag.
Bennett has 125 receiving yards on 10 receptions including the game winning touchdown against Minnesota last Sunday.
