Each week, Sports Illustrated presents their NFL announcer power rankings with the help of the FanSided NFL division’s editorial staff and this week’s results are in. For the second straight week, Al Michael and Chris Collinsworth, who covered the San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks game, top the list.

Also on the rankings are Brad Nessler and Mike Mayock, Jim Nantz and Phil Simms, Mike Tirico and Jon Gruden and Joe Buck and Troy Aikman.

The FanSided NFL crew recaps every announcer pairing performance and gives their thoughts on how it all went down, before capping things off with a grade. This week’s lowest grade went to  Thom Brennaman and Brian Billick, who were calling the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings game.

However, there was a shining moment during the game, when Charles “Peanut” Tillman saved FOX sideline reporter Laura Okmin from getting run over by the camera crew. He’s such a gentleman.

To see the full power rankings, you can head on over to Sports Illustrated and check out the thoughts on every announcer pairing’s Week 2 performance.
