With the Green Bay Packers coming to town this Sunday, two keys to winning what will likely be a high-scoring affair will be how well the pass-defense is, and how effective the Bengals run the ball and keep All-Pro quarterback Aaron Rodgers off the field.

Based on yesterday’s injury report, they could be hurting in both areas, as cornerbacks Dre Kirkpatrick and Brandon Ghee didn’t practice, and Adam Jones was limited with an abdomen injury, though it’s believed that he’s also dealing with a hamstring injury as well.

Having Jones back in coverage to cover the likes of Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb and/or James Jones will be critical, and after watching Jones struggle against a less-than-stellar Steelers receiving corps on Monday, it’s clear that Jones’ hamstring and abdomen injury is affecting his play.

Today, he was able to participate in the morning practice session:

Also practicing today was rookie running back Giovani Bernard, who scored both of the Bengals touchdowns on Monday, and the offense has shown it’s more efficient when Beranrd is in the game.
