Philadelphia Eagles fans had a bit of a scare in the first half of the team’s Thursday night match up against the Kansas City Chiefs when star running back LeSean McCoy went down with a lower leg injury, but those concerns were put to rest when he returned to the game in the third quarter and added 92 yards after suffering the injury.

After the game, McCoy stated that he suffered a right ankle sprain when he went down in the first half.

McCoy finished the game with 158 yards rushing and a touchdown.

When McCoy initial went down, he was in obvious pain and threw his helmet to the ground. The injury looked like it was going to be serious, but McCoy was eventually able to jog to the sideline before limping his way to the locker room.

With ten days to recover before next week’s match up against the Denver Broncos, McCoy’s status for Week 4 should be fine. However, you can’t deny that he will be sore and likely limited during the first few days back at practice.
