Things did not go very well for the Philadelphia Eagles last night. After enduring yet another home loss, this one at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs, Yahoo posted a video that shows just how bad things went last night for the Eagles.

The Eagles had too many turnovers, penalties, and mistakes to expect to win that game last night and really they were fortunate to even be within striking distance in the fourth quarter. Trying to mount a late game comeback, it was apparent that center Jason Kelce misunderstood the snap count. The penalty was indicative of the Eagles night as a whole.

The play did draw a chuckle out of the broadcast booth as the referee announced the penalty on “everyone but the center”, although this one definitely goes squarely on him.

Kelce had a rough night as he also had some trouble connecting with Michael Vick in the shotgun formation. In the fourth quarter Kelce sailed a snap over Vick’s head that the Eagles were fortunate enough to recover, but still cost them 10 yards after Vick fell on it.

Not the night that Kelce or the Eagles envisioned, I am sure. Remember though, this is still a new offense and they are still learning how this offense works. The NFC East may be weak enough for the Eagles to still make some noise later on down the road.
