Seattle Seahawks Chris Clemons returns to action this week
By Chris Logel
Pete Carrol has confirmed through the Seahawks website that Chris Clemons will make his 2013 season debut this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Centurylink Field. That news compounded with the return of CB Brandon Browner is not good news for Jags fans.
The Jaguars were already one of the biggest underdogs in Las Vegas history prior to this news. That will not help the moneyline one bit.
Chris Wesseling from NFL.com had this to say about Clemons
"Clemons has been Seattle’s leading pass rusher in each of the past three seasons, racking up 33.5 sacks over that period. He’s now eight months and two weeks removed from tearing his ACL and meniscus in the playoff victory over the Washington Redskins"
Seattle already had one of the top defensive units in the league and this makes their team even more dangerous. Already the top seed in virtually every power poll out there, I have a sneaking suspicion that Jacksonville is in for a very long day. To make matters worse the Jags are travelling to the loudest stadium in the league. With major question marks surrounding Maurice Jones-Drew and the quarterback position, I am not sure the line could be high enough for me to take Jacksonville.
Stranger things have happened though…
