The 2-0 Seattle Seahawks have to be considering this game a win. They clearly overmatch the the 0-2 Jacksonville Jaguars, arguably the worst team in the league. That makes this game a trap game. The Seahawks face a superior opponent next week in the Houston Texans and if they don’t take the Jaguars seriously they could be handed a loss.

Date: September 22

Location: Seattle, Washington

TV Info: CBS
Live Stream: Direct TV NFL Ticket and NFL Game Rewind following the game

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll’s comments indicate that they aren’t overlooking the Jaguars.

“Every game is a championship opportunity for us,” Carroll said, via ESPN. “The way you ensure that is by the way you prepare. If you practice properly, with the same intentions and standards every week, and we maintain that for the players and we don’t accept anything less, then you guarantee your best chance to perform well. Regardless of what’s going on.”

His players are echoing that mentality.

“Every game we feel like we should dominate,” safety Earl Thomas said.

“We have a chance to do something great,” Thomas said. “That’s all it says. The craziest thing about it, we stay humble and keep preparing like we do, not listening to what’s going on TV, we’ll be fine.”
