New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady hasn’t had a lot of help in the passing game so far this season. Reportedly he has been texting wide receivers Brandon Lloyd and Deion Branch in an effort to bring in some help.

The injuries to top passing targets wide receiver Danny Amendola and tight end Rob Gronkowski hasn’t seemed to hamper Brady so far today. Brady is 10 of 15 passing for 87 yards and a touchdown pass to rookie wide receiver Kenbrell Thompkins.

He scampered past a few defenders and into the end zone for a 16-yard touchdown to give the Patriots the lead midway through the second quarter.

It is Thompkins first career touchdown. In his first two games he caught 6 passes, despite being targeted 21 times, for 89 yards. The touchdown catch is Thompkins only reception of the game though he has been targeted twice by Tom Brady.

When celebrating though try not to hit your quarterback in the head with your helmet.
