The Arizona Cardinals are looking to take a few steps forward in the tough NFC West, but their defense took a hit after learning that rookie outside linebacker Alex Okafor has suffered a torn biceps and will miss the remainder of the season.

From Alex Marvez of FOX Sports 1:

The news comes just off the heels of learning that the team has also lost fellow linebackers Lorenzo Alexander and Sam Acho for the year to injuries.

It is obviously a devastating blow to the Cardinals depth at linebacker, so they will need to find players to step up and embrace much bigger roles in the line up. One of those players is expected to be Kenny Demens, who the team has just promoted from the practice squad.

The Arizona Cardinal travels to Florida in Week 4 to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as they look to advance to .500 on the season.
