Former corner-back Fred Smoot has voiced his opinion once again, this time on his former team.

Smoot played for the Washington Redskins from the 2007-2009 seasons and ended his career with the team. The 34 year old retired defensive back has spoken out a couple of times this year on different topics that involved the league.

First he started off with the old Minnesota Vikings boating incident, then went on to say later on that nobody likes hall of fame running back Emmitt Smith. Which I’m pretty sure is impossible because almost everybody loves Smith.

Anyways, Smoot apparently called head coach Mike Shanahan ‘Red Lobster’ and said that RG3 was a brat. It was only a matter of time before Smoot opened his mouth again, especially since the Redskins are struggling right now.

"“The Red Lobster (Mike Shanahan) and RGIII, they’re not compatible right now. And right now, you can’t have one without the other. I think one thing the Red Lobster has lost this locker room. I think him and RGIII, I don’t know if it’s a disrespect there, but they don’t respect each other like a coach and a quarterback should.” Smoot told the Washington Post"

Smoot also said that if the Redskins are looking to make a coaching change for the future, now is the time for them to do so.

Not sure about his choice words for quarterback RGIII who could be frustrated that half of his playbook was removed due to his knee injury. But here’s what he had to say about the former Rookie of the Year:

"“It’s about time somebody be honest. Sometimes RGIII can be a brat, alright? Because I’m watching these other quarterbacks and I’m watching how they compose themselves and the things they do. With Luck and Wilson, and it’s a different vibe.” Smoot on RGIII."

He also says that RGIII is starting to buy into the attention he is getting. Some very brave choice words from the former Redskin. I don’t expect him to be invited to any games anytime soon.
