Last night, Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer reported that Steelers rookie running back Le’Veon Bell would likely play during Week Four, something that head coach Mike Tomlin not only confirmed, but he also suggested Bell could be his starting running back.

Per Ed Bouchette:

"#Steelers Tomlin, asked if Bell will start: He’s going to play, yes"

Tomlin suggested that he wants to see how well Bell responds in practice before he names a starter for this weekend though, assuming Bell doesn’t have too many mental mistakes and looks healthy, it would be a shock not to see him starting.

Of course, that doesn’t mean that the Steelers are going to ride him into the ground in his first game back, so it’s possible Tomlin and the Steelers coaching staff will put him on a restricted snap count. Either way, the addition of Bell is a welcome sight in Pittsburgh considering how woeful their rushing game has been through the first three weeks of the season.

The team may ease him in for the next two weeks considering they have their bye in Week Six, but after that it will likely be a full go.
