Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun is reporting that Ray Rice practiced today and is expecting to play on Sunday as the Ravens take on the Buffalo Bills. Rice sustained an injury to his left hip flexor which kept him from playing last week against the Houston Texans. The Ravens would go on to win that game big and have won two in a row after being embarrassed by Denver on opening Thursday.

Here is what John Harbaugh had to say about Rice’s potential return.

"“Very hopeful,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh said of Rice’s prognosis for this week. “We’re going to see what he can do, and we’ll have our fingers crossed.”"

Expect Bernard Pierce and Ray Rice to share the work load on Sunday as they take a cautious approach with Rice’s injury. There is no point rushing him back too early just to play the Bills in week 4. The Bills rank 30th in rushing yards allowed per game at 155 and it may not be necessary for Rice to carry often as the game wears on.

If you are looking from a fantasy perspective I think that Rice is a slightly better play than Pierce but I wouldn’t start either of them.
