In need of a quarterback, one might think the Jacksonville Jaguars would attempt to buy low on recently benched signal caller Josh Freeman.

That will apparently not be the case, at least according to Mark Long who says the Jaguars have ‘zero’ interest in trading for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback.

"No surprise: Jaguars have zero interest in trading for Bucs QB Josh Freeman"

In fairness to the Jags, if Freeman can’t lead the Bucs, what’s the point of Jacksonville attempting to have Freeman do the same for them?

Freeman, while potentially better than the Jaguars other options would be nothing more than a stop gap as the Jags do their best to find a franchise quarterback. There’s little reason to give up anything of value for Freeman in a trade, especially since it’s likely Tampa Bay would request more than Jacksonville would likely be okay parting with.

If you’re trying to improve, you don’t do it by increasing your talent marginally, especially at the quarterback position.
