On Saturday afternoon, the New England Patriots learned that tight end Rob Gronkowski and wide receiver Danny Amendola would miss another week of action, but it wasn’t all bad news for New England as they prepare for their Sunday night match up against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 4.

According to Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald, the status for starting tackle Sebastian Vollmer is met with much more optimism. In fact, Vollmer is “likely” to play after making the journey in to the Dirty South.

Vollmer suffered a foot injury during last week’s game and he was limited in practice before making the team flight, but it doesn’t appear the injury will force him to miss the start for this weekend’s game as the Patriots look to advance to 4-0 on the season.

For a team that is missing most of their offensive weapons, it is crucial to have a trustworthy offensive linemann that can give Tom Brady the time he needs to let the young, inexperienced wide receivers develop their routes down field.
