Greg Jennings brings in his first receiving touchdown as a MInnesota Viking (GIF)
By David Miniel
For the first time this season, veteran wide receiver Greg Jennings recorded his first receiving touchdown as a member of the Minnesota Vikings.
Jennings who caught 53 touchdown passes in Green Bay, picked up 38 of those from future hall of fame quarterback Brett Favre. Jennings went from Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers to Christian Ponder and Matt Cassel, so I understand his drop in touchdown receptions this season.
The reception came on a curl route which allowed him to pull the ball into his chest, spin around the first defender and make the rest of the Pittsburgh secondary look like amateurs.
The play resulted in head coach Mike Tomlin losing his mind on the sidelines after the extra point was kicked.
No excuse for those missed tackles on a simple assignment, but it made for a great play that will stand out for the remainder of the week.
