One way to guarantee that your touchdown celebration is a success is to use current hot topics and current events as a reference. If you can successfully pull off a celebration that leaves people saying, “I get it!” then the chances are it will keep them talking heading in to Monday morning.
For the Denver Broncos, that meant mocking the headline that followed their team awake ago in regards of a friendly game of “rock, paper, scissors” deciding who would get the goal line carry and touchdown against the Oakland Raiders.
When Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno was able to punch one in against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon, he busted out some “rock, paper, scissors” all by his lonesome before wide receiver Eric Decker came running over and played leapfrog.
It was genius.
