Report: Matt Flynn to start for Oakland Raiders vs. Redskins
By Josh Sanchez
There are conflicting reports surrounding the Oakland Raiders as they prepare to host the Washington Redskins on Sunday afternoon. Late last night, it was reported that Pryor had passed his concussion tests and was expected to enter the game as the No. 1 signal-caller, but Jay Glazer of FOX Sports is reporting on Sunday morning that the team has informed their players back up Matt Flynn will get the start.
"Scoopage: despite T Pryor being cleared, Raiders players were told in team mtg last night that Matt Flynn, NOT Pryor, starts today."
With the Raiders having a late kickoff today, it still may be too early to tell.
If Flynn is under center, the team’s chances of getting the win take a serious hit. If Pryor does in fact get the start, then the Raiders offense will be able to show the same flashes that we have seen in the previous weeks as Pryor attempts to take advantage of the putrid Redskins secondary.
This will be a situation to monitor throughout the day as we near kickoff, so keep an eye peeled for the latest updates.
