There is “Bad news for Bjoern,” according to Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano. The Colts will be without first-round pick Bjoern Werner for the next four to six weeks after it was learned that the outside linebacker suffered a torn plantar fascia.

Colts beat writer Mike Chappell passed along the news on Monday afternoon.

Without Werner in the line up, the team’s starting outside linebackers will remain as Erik Walden and Robert Mathis, while Cam Johnson will have to step up in to a bigger role. Johnson signed with the team as a free agent.

It’s a big hit to the team’s depth at linebacker as they prepare for a big game against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5, but we can expect the Colts defense to rally together like they did a season ago for Coach Pagano and give it their best effort as they hope to knock off another NFC West opponent.
