Apparently, the Philadelphia Eagles learned a hard lesson Sunday afternoon – don’t make fun of Peyton Manning.

The Denver Broncos signal caller torched the Eagles’ defense en route to throwing for 327 yard and four touchdowns, all while the Eagles defense allegedly mocked Manning in the process.

When the Eagles weren’t supposedly yelling ‘Papa John’s’ at Manning, they were mimicking his over the top play calling antics.

First, the Papa John’s incident:

"But that’s what happened on Sunday in Denver, according to Eagles linebacker Connor Barwin.  He told WIP radio in Philly that he heard someone shout the name of the pizza company that presumably pays Peyton a pile of money during the game with the Broncos.“Well I know — I think I might have heard Papa John’s once, but I don’t know who said it, I mean that’s kind of funny,” Barwin said."

Then we have the whole ‘play calling’ mocking:

"Peyton Manning was changing the play at the line of scrimmage, waving his hands and pointing as he has always done, and Fletcher Cox mimicked the Broncos quarterback with gyrations of his own."

Cox could be seen at one point standing up while the remainder of his defensive line was in position, making hand gestures similar to that of Manning. The Broncos immediately ran to Fletcher’s side of the defense where they picked up ten yards.

Just not a good day for the Eagles defense, all around.
