There hasn’t been much positive news for the Jacksonville Jaguars throughout the first month of the season, but they will be getting their No. 1 wide receiver Justin Blackmon back from his suspension and he is already impressing the coaching staff.

Head coach Gus Bradley spoke about Blackmon’s return and he couldn’t help but to rave about the former No. 5 overall’s conditioning.

“He’s done tremendous these last four weeks,” Bradley said, via the Florida Times Union. “His body fat has dropped and his weight has gained. He’s in really, really good shape right now. He’s done everything that we’ve asked of him, he went on the trips with us. I could go with a list on some of the things we asked him to do that he’s done, so he’s a in a great frame of mind right now.”

If all goes according to plan, the Jaguars will roll Blackmon out with the starting line up for his regular season debut.

With the lack of talent in Jacksonville, it is hard to imagine a scenario where Blackmon is not with the first-team offense regardless of his conditioning.

However, the fact that he appears to have been taking things seriously and stayed in top shape is a positive sign for the Jaguars moving forward.
