New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has been playing with relative unknowns at the wide receiver position, so it comes as no surprise that he can’t wait to have his weapons return to the starting line up.

The main target that Brady is looking forward to having back is tight end Rob Gronkowski, who should be coming back within the next two weeks.

Along with Gronkowski, Brady is currently without wide receiver Danny Amendola and running back Shane Vereen, so they could really turn a new corner when the offense is fully healthy and Brady is able to work with players that he has chemistry with.

Brady was recently speaking with the media about having his top targets return and you could tell just how eager he is to get them back on the field.

“He’s been on the active roster for the last four weeks and I’ve seen him every day working as hard as he can to get back,” Brady said, via Pro Football Talk.  “So it ends up being a medical decision and that’s not my role.  So I’m just waiting for the day that he does get back because he adds so much to our offense.

“Every week that he’s been out there he’s made significant improvement.  So it’ll be great when he’s back and it’ll be great when we get Danny Amendola back and Shane Vereen back and finally we can see what our offense is really made of.   Whether that’s this week or the following week or the following week.   I mean those things are really not determined by me.”

The Patriots have still managed to go 4-0 without their key offensive players, so the sky is the limit for Brady and the Patriots when Gronk and company return.

New England is among the top teams in the AFC and they should continue improve as the season goes on. If it all goes according to plan, the Patriots will be red hot in time for the crucial stretch at the back end of the season.
