A.J. Green’s brutal assessment of his team on Sunday
By Jason Marcum
Cincinnati Bengals receiver A.J. Green isn’t hiding his feelings when describing he and his team’s play last week vs the Cleveland Browns, and he knows that he and his teammates have to start playing better, or watch his team’s season get flushed down the toilet:
They can’t afford to play like crap again this week against the New England Patriots. Green hasn’t played his best, but much of that has had to do with quarterback Andy Dalton and wide Green not being on the same page.
Despite targeting the All-Pro receiver 15 times, Dalton connected on just seven passes to Green during Sunday’s loss, and he now has just 17 catches for 138 yards and one touchdown over the past three games.
In other words, as long as Dalton plays like crap, Green will continue to put up crappy numbers.
